Kenya Kigutha Estate

$7.95
If you like Kenyan Coffee, then this is the only product page you will ever see again. This Kenyan is that good and priced so well, this combo of quality and price can't be beat. Let me tell you why. This Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee grown on the Kigutha Estate, which is a co-op comprised of approximately 40 farms, is out of this world delicious. Expect a wonderful bright acidity, with notes of Black Currant, Red Wine (I am no wine buff but I would call it a Cab/Merlot), Blackberries, and juiciest Plum on planet earth. Plus, as it cools, it tastes even better. The cherry on top? A 12 Ounce bag of Whole Bean is ONLY $13.95! Call me crazy but after looking at what other artisan roasters charge (anywhere from $16 to $21 for the same size bag), I figured we would buck the trend. Great coffee can also be affordable, right? Pick up a bag today and see what I mean.
Black Currant, Red Wine, Blackberry, Plum Roast: Light/Medium Acidity: High Body: Medium Finish: Dry and Bright
Country: Kenya Region: Kiambu Producer: Kigutha Estate Variety: SL-28 and Bourbon Process: Washed and Sun Dried Altitude: 1,600 masl

Kenya Kigutha

Great stuff!!! This was my 2nd ordering from Layne and maybe my 6th or 7th coffee purchased from them... This was the best I've tried from them. Can't go wrong here.

Not good

I can't seem to make a good cup of coffee with these beans (I use a French press). I have tried adjusting grind, steep time and water temperature but my coffee comes out sour. It's been getting better so maybe it just needs to settle for a while.

Kenya Kigutha Estate very good

Although this is not my favorite Kenyon coffee, it was very good. The flavor is not as smooth as some that I've had but I still like it

Kenya Kigutha Estate

purchased whole beans and ground for french press. I drink bulletproof coffee every morning and the smell and flavors that came from this coffee was great. I also drank this coffee black brewed french press style. I usually like big bold coffees, but have to say this coffee has great flavor. It was long on the finish and deep chocolate flavor. This is a must purchase, it is on my reorder list going forward.

Worthwhile

Kenya Kigutha Estate has some strength of character. I use the French Press method and a little bit of heavy cream. I'm just sorting out the kinds of coffee that I like. I know I like Yirgacheffe medium roast but I want to explore other varieties. One-half cup of finely ground beans per quart of filtered water.
